Service Desk Support Specialist
Pentalog is recruiting a Service Desk Agent to help continue our growth and improvement, in an Agile manner.
The Service Desk Support Specialist is responsible for all phases of operations for the internal IT Service Desk. Reporting to the regional Service Desk manager, you will work closely with other members of the IT group to support remote all end-users, in their day-to-day computer hardware and software needs.
We are doing well, and we are growing - and now looking to add another great person to our (already awesome) Service Desk team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical guidance for the company’s employees/customers in activities associated with identifying, prioritizing and resolving problems by telephone, chat and e-mail;
- Participate in a supportive role by acting as a liaison between customer and departments within the organization, to ensure that all on-line system problems are resolved in an accurate and timely manner.
- Take ownership of user Incidents and follow up the status of Incidents on behalf of the user and communicate progress in a timely manner;
- Escalate unresolved calls to the relevant Resolver Group;
- Support the purchasing process and interact with external vendors/service providers;
- Provide stats for the weekly Service Desk report on call trends and service management;
- Informing customers of outages, known errors and resolution progress;
- Assisting in updating the technical information database, the Service Desk knowledge base, Service Desk workflow and procedures;
- Ensure Key Metric’s and SLAs are met and service is delivered as expected;
Requirements:
- Experience in providing support to users/customers
- Candidate will have experience and can demonstrate understanding in how computers work.
- Basic IT knowledge in:
- Familiarity with Windows 7-10, Mac OS X, Linux Ubuntu;
- MS office, Office 365;
- Basic User & Security Group Active Directory administration;
- Excellent communication and customer service skills;
- Ability to communicate problems/issues in a non-technical manner;
- Analytical thinking and task performing;
- Ability to work in a time-pressured and demanding environment;
- Willingness to take initiatives, hands on and result driven;
- Focus on time management and organization skills while multitasking;
- High motivation and willingness to learn;
- Pro-active and team worker
- Fluency in English and (optional) French.
Desired Skills / Nice to have
- Working experience with ITIL framework;
- Proficiency in Excel
- Working experience with Cloud services, Windows Server environments, Active Directory services;

Product Owner
About the job:
You will be involved into the ed-tech product development for the USA market, providing high quality online courses that aim to prepare students for success while helping them overcome the financial challenges of college education.
As a Product Owner you will have the following responsibilities:
- Elaborate user stories based on high level business requests;
- Analyse application reports vs. financial reports and find out the reason in cases where data doesn't match;
- Reporting examples:
- Write user stories to Collect the information on Payment options usage and debts: e.g. lifetime of membership per option, time in membership vs time covering the debt;
- Write user stories to Collect 3rd party applications data
- Write user stories to Collect cohort aging report - how many students remain clients each month, how many students have actually started using the application, breakdown by programs, schools, etc.
- Analyse trends and data correlation to predict.
Your profile
- Knowledge and technical expertise in Data Models.
