The Unit is a software development company focused on Sports betting, Gambling & iGaming industries, with headquarters in Ireland. Our team is delighted to have been collaborating with customers from across the globe since 2017. Currently, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer (AWS) to join our team in assisting one of our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
- Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines for efficient and reliable deployments.
- Manage Kubernetes (K8s) clusters – provisioning, scaling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Implement automation for system configuration, application deployment, and infrastructure management.
- Ensure the security, availability, and performance of production environments.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance cloud-native architectures and operational practices.
- Research, evaluate, and introduce tools and processes that drive continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of professional experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, IAM, Lambda, etc.).
- Strong proficiency with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles.
- Solid experience with Kubernetes (EKS or self-managed clusters) and Docker.
- Skilled in CI/CD tools ( GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or similar).
- Strong scripting and automation abilities (Bash, Python, or equivalent).
- Understanding of networking, monitoring, and security best practices in cloud environments.
- Strong English communication skills (B2+).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving mindset.
Nice to Have:
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or similar certifications.
- Experience with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch).
- Familiarity with cost optimisation and performance tuning in AWS.
