The Head of Engineering plays a critical role in shaping the engineering function within our company, focusing on delivering high-quality products that meet clients' needs and regulatory requirements. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and strategic thinking to drive successful product development and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration within the engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture that encourages professional growth and innovation.
• Drive the end-to-end product development lifecycle, ensuring the team delivers high-quality fintech products that meet user needs and comply with industry regulations.
• Collaborate closely with the product manager to define product vision, features, and technical requirements, translating them into actionable development tasks.
• Define and implement the technical strategy for the engineering team, ensuring alignment with the company's overall business strategy and product roadmap.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in fintech.
• Establish coding standards and best practices for the engineering team, ensuring high-quality code and effective testing protocols to minimize bugs and technical debt.
• Optimization of business processes through the implementation of modern technological solutions (selection of technologies to be used in a specific project).
• Collaborate with product manager, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of product features and user experiences.
• Manage project timelines and resource allocation to ensure timely delivery of product releases and updates, while effectively addressing any technical challenges that arise.
• Ensure that all products meet regulatory compliance and security standards, conducting regular audits and risk assessments as necessary.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Proven experience in fintech or related industries, with a good understanding of regulatory requirements.
• Strong expertise in PHP and full stack development, with knowledge of modern frameworks and libraries.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and anticipate technical challenges.
• A passion for innovation and a proactive approach to identifying and implementing new technologies and practices to enhance product development.
