An international consulting and audit company is expanding its team in Moldova and is looking for an Audit Director – a strategic leadership role with direct impact on business growth and client portfolio development.

About the Role

You will lead audit activities, build strong relationships with local and international clients, and actively contribute to the company’s growth by combining technical expertise with leadership and commercial vision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead audit engagements (statutory, IFRS, multinational groups) and ensure compliance with applicable standards
• Review and approve reports, manage complex technical matters, and maintain relationships with key clients
• Ensure audit quality, compliance, and effective risk management across engagements
• Lead and develop the audit team, including performance management and mentoring
• Identify business opportunities and expand relationships with existing clients
• Participate in proposals, presentations, and market initiatives
• Manage portfolio performance and contribute to strategic planning

Requirements
Education & Qualifications:

• Certified statutory auditor in Moldova – mandatory
• Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent)
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Experience:

• Minimum 10–15 years of audit experience, preferably with in an international firm
• Proven experience managing complex and multinational engagements
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and group reporting

• Languages: Romanian and English – advanced (Russian is an advantage)
