World Vision International is a Christian relief, development and advocacy organization dedicated to working with children, families and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice. World Vision - Moldova Office is looking for a highly qualified and motivated person for the position of Data collector – WV Moldova.
JOB PURPOSE:
  • Data collector will be in charge of conducting phone calls to verify the beneficiary's lists when required by the donor or WV; receive phone calls from beneficiaries, registration, and support in providing information of WV projects.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Receive phone calls from beneficiaries, registration, and support in providing information.
  • Registration of complaints and feedback from beneficiaries.
  • Conducting phone calls to verify the beneficiary's lists when required by the donor or WV.
  • Conducting phone calls to support the beneficiaries who are facing issues with registration or cash out.
  • Sharing WV updates and instructions related to the project purpose with the beneficiaries and local authorities.
  • Coordinating with the local authorities, mayors, social workers as needed.
  • Working under the supervision of the team leader and closely with the project manager.
  • Working on post-distribution monitoring activity through phone calls after the assistance received by the beneficiaries.
  • Monitoring the cash-out process.
  • Collecting numbers and supporting the team leader, and the project Manager in reporting.
  • Supporting the community consultancy meetings and focus group discussions.
  • Supporting WV Moldova for future needs.
  • Collecting feedback from point of service for the cash out process.
  • Provide weekly reports.
KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE:
  • Minimum of 1-2 years in an NGO role related to Support role in an NGO, especially in a humanitarian emergency context and grant-funded projects, is preferred. Experience working with vulnerable populations Basic knowledge of the humanitarian system, coordination mechanisms, and donors is preferred.
  • Experience with humanitarian aid in-country is a plus.

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences/Development Management/International Development/Social Work or relevant field.
  • Effective in written and oral communication in Romanian & Russian, working knowledge of English.
  • Requires good computer skills (Excel, World, Spreadsheets).
  • Requires good communication skills.
  • Must be self-motivated, innovation, able to work under pressure.
  • Basic understanding of business principles.
  • Be organized, accurate and able to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
Capacity Development:
  • Work closely with the team leader to discuss capacity-building opportunities and put a capacity building plan to ensure competency levels which allow the team to do their work accordingly.

  • English & Romanian & Russian
