About Qrux
- Qrux builds the AI Factory, a platform that helps companies automate document checks, accounting preparation and other ERP workflows.
- Our agents do more than generate text. ERP handles the transactions; AI agents review proposed actions against client-specific rules, provide supporting evidence and route exceptions to people. The challenge is making these workflows reliable enough for everyday business operations.
- Local hosting, tenant isolation and controlled releases are core to our architecture. You’ll develop against synthetic data and dedicated test environments, with automated checks and peer review supporting the path to production.
- We work with customers in Switzerland and engineers in Sursee, Iași and Chișinău. You’ll be one of the first engineers employed directly by Qrux, with real influence on the product, the architecture and the team we build.
What you’ll do
- Your primary focus will be Python backend development and agent workflows, with shared responsibility for the platform they run on.
- Design and ship review pipelines, retrieval workflows and tool execution with human approval gates
- Build evaluations and tests that expose failure modes and verify how workflows handle uncertainty
- Take features from implementation through review, deployment and monitoring
- Contribute to Kubernetes, GitOps, CI/CD and development environments
- Work closely with the founder in Switzerland and engineers in Romania and Moldova
- Help hire and onboard future engineers as the team grows
- In your first three months, we expect you to take ownership of a bounded review workflow: understand the business rules, implement the behaviour, demonstrate how it handles failures and guide it through a monitored release.
Our stack
- Core development: Python · PostgreSQL · Haystack · Qdrant · Odoo · self-hosted LLMs
- Platform and delivery: Kubernetes · Argo CD · OpenTofu · GitLab CI · NATS JetStream · Keycloak · OpenBao
- Data and observability: dbt · Superset · Prometheus · Loki · OpenTelemetry
- You won’t know all of it, and we don’t expect you to. Strong fundamentals, sound judgement and the ability to learn matter more than matching every tool.
You bring
- 4+ years building and maintaining production software, with strong Python skills
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes and Git-based development workflows
- Something real you’ve built with LLMs, and a clear view of where they fail
- The ability to turn an ambiguous requirement into a practical design, explain the trade-offs and test the result
- Fluent written and spoken English, with clear communication in an async-first team
- A desire to own part of the product and follow your work through to its behaviour in production
Nice to have: Odoo, ERP or accounting domain knowledge, security or compliance experience, German.
