We are currently looking for an IT Support Engineer to join our IT Support Department. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our internal IT infrastructure, including end-user devices, servers, and network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure & Network Management
- Administer, maintain, and monitor LAN/WAN infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and availability;
- Configure and manage network equipment (PFSense experience is a strong advantage);
- Perform network supervision, diagnostics, and regular audits;
- Ensure secure and reliable connectivity across systems and devices.
System Administration & Technical Support
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications onuser workstations;
- Provide technical support to employees, troubleshooting hardware and software issues;
- Manage peripheral devices such as printers, scanners, and multifunctional units;
- Configure and manage secure connections including VPN.
- Setup and configure device management tools for remote workstation management (ex. FleetDM)
Data Protection & Backup
- Set up, monitor, and maintain regular data backup systems;
- Ensure data integrity, security, and availability;
- Assist in implementing and maintaining IT security best practices.
Monitoring & Maintenance
- Continuously monitor systems, networks, and infrastructure performance;
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues proactively;
- Stay up to date with operating systems and emerging technologies.
Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with other departments to support IT-related needs and projects;
- Provide timely and effective support while maintaining a customer-focused approach;
- Document technical procedures, configurations, and issue resolutions.
Your Skills and Qualifications
- University degree in Computer Science or a related field, with 2-4 years of experience in IT support, networking, or system administration;
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, VPN technologies (IPSec, Remote Access), and network equipment configuration (PFSense and OpenVPN is a strong plus);
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems, Linux systems (Ubuntu), common business applications, and peripheral hardware (printers, scanners, etc.);
- Knowledge of VoIP and PBX systems, as well as relevant certifications (CCNA/CCNP or MTCNA/MTCRE), are considered an advantage;
- Fluent in English (written and spoken);
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented and organized approach to managing multiple tasks;
- Customer-focused mindset with effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team;
- Adaptable, responsible, and eager to learn, with a high level of integrity and professional ethics.
