Moldcell Company, part of CG Corp Global, is looking for a highly experienced, business-driven, and strategically oriented Legal & Compliance Manager for the new group business line: CG BYD Auto Europe HQ.

The role demands deep expertise in regulatory requirements, corporate governance, contract management, and risk mitigation across multiple European jurisdictions. As CG Auto Europe expands, this function becomes critical for safeguarding operations, ensuring alignment with group standards, and enabling strategic decisions at the executive level.

The role is based in the Republic of Moldova.

Key Responsibilities:

Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial contracts (supplier agreements, distribution agreements, customer terms, etc.)

• Handle daily legal consultations and manage external law firms
• Establish compliance frameworks aligned with Moldovan and EU laws (GDPR, competition law, etc.)
• Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and implement mitigation measures
• Ensure compliance with automotive industry regulations (vehicle certification, environmental standards, product liability, etc.)
• Support automotive business operations (supply chain, product compliance, after-sales disputes, etc.)
• Monitor industry regulatory trends (EV policies, carbon emission regulations, etc.)
• Adapt to the pace of a startup environment and support business innovation and expansion
• Assist with legal matters related to company financing, equity structuring, and governance
• Provide legal and compliance training to employees and promote a culture of compliance

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law; legal certification in Moldova or internationally preferred
• Proficiency in Romanian and English; Russian language skills are a plus
• Minimum 5 years of legal and compliance experience, with at least 2 years in a startup or high-growth company
• Background in the automotive industry, with familiarity in legal practices related to manufacturing, sales, or supply chain
• Experience in cross-border operations (EU/CIS regions) preferred
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of Moldovan legal systems and EU compliance requirements
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments
• Adaptable to startup dynamics and capable of managing multiple priorities
