Frontend Engineer
Responsabilități:
Frontend engineer at Farmable (AgTech, Oslo, Norway · Remote) — farm-management software used by farmers and agronomic advisors across Europe and beyond. I worked end to end across the whole frontend: a React Native mobile app and React + Vite web apps, owning features and the architecture behind them, and led development of the B2B partner & distributor portal.
Highlights:
• Built and shipped features across a cross-platform suite (React Native mobile + React web), keeping product domains, data models, and localization consistent across native and web.
• Led a single-PR framework & tooling migration (Webpack→Vite, Jest→Vitest; React 17→19, MUI 5→7, React-Router 5→6) across 700+ files — production build ~3× faster (~29s → ~9s), one ~4 MB bundle split into 170+ route/vendor chunks, and 51 makeStyles call-sites ported to tss-react.
• Led development of a B2B partner & distributor portal and built it from the ground up — owned architecture and library decisions; interactive field mapping, a job-planner calendar, product/treatment libraries, an enterprise permissions model, and PDF/XLSX/CSV reporting.
• Engineered a GraphQL-first data layer with Apollo (codegen, cache normalization, field policies) — including cutting a dashboard query's response payload ~99% (~1.8 MB → ~14 KB, ~128×) by switching to lite fragments that drop per-field geometry.
• Owned internationalization end to end — built a reusable i18n toolkit validating 3,000+ keys across 7 locales against a 117-term glossary in ~0.5s, fanning out 7 translator agents in parallel; migrated every app onto it.
• Optimized geospatial UX (Leaflet, react-native-maps, Uber H3, Turf) — memoization made the typical field-map render ~13× cheaper (~68ms → ~5ms) on large (~150-field) farms; integrated payments (Stripe, RevenueCat) and observability (Sentry).
