English Teacher

Role Description: This is a part-time, in-person English Teacher position in Chișinău, Moldova. You’ll teach Cambridge Empower English courses (A1–C2) to adult learners in full English immersion. The role offers flexibility, a positive team environment, and opportunities to grow with the Ivory Center.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience teaching English to adults (privately or in a school)
- Experience teaching or studying Cambridge English (Empower, Business Benchmark, or similar) preferred
- Fluent English with a neutral or international accent
- Energetic, engaging, and empathetic teaching style that motivates adult learners
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to connect across cultures
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative, mission-driven team
- TESOL, CELTA, or equivalent certification, or a bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field preferred
- Experience studying or working abroad is an advantage
- Fluent in Romanian, Russian preferred
Additional Information
- Part-time evening schedule (Monday–Friday)
- Around 12-15 hours per week for the first months
- Paid hourly, with opportunities for professional development and career growth
- Located in the center of Chișinău
- All teaching materials will be provided by the Center
