Welcome to the Abakus School for the Development of Intelligence and Mathematical Thinking!

We provide online one-to-one lessons for children aged 5 to 14. Our primary focus is mental arithmetic combined with brain and math thinking development. We aim to create a dynamic, enjoyable learning experience that empowers children to conquer mathematical challenges with confidence.
We are looking for online teachers to join our team 

What will you do?

• Conduct individual 25min/55min online lessons in Zoom and on Abakus platform
• Supervise homework completion;
• Fill up the progress report of every child once a month
• Mark attendance of children on the platform
• Adapt and modify lesson plans from the school curriculum to support the students and meet their needs

Key Requirements:

• Proficiency in Romanian (B2+ with clear pronunciation)
• Teaching experience with kids aged 5-12
• Zoom experience desirable
• Playful, dynamic, fun and engaging teaching approach
•  Weekday availability: Minimum total of 8 hours weekly ) and weekend availability (at least for 4 hours - one weekend day only)
•  Experience in Soroban Mental Arithmetic (Preferred)
• Experience in Math teaching (Preferred)
•  Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Math, Pedagogy, Psychology or related will be a plus
