PuntoUP Professional Recruitment is seeking an Associate Audit for a top-tier international audit firm in Moldova, with an international clientele that includes financial institutions, public interest entities, as well as projects financed by international donors, reporting under IFRS and ISA, as well as statutory audits under local GAAP.

Main Purpose of the Job: Support audit engagements from planning through reporting - verifying, documenting and tracing financial information, and helping the team spot control weaknesses and risk areas before they become findings.Job Profile:

• Participate in audit engagements across a varied client portfolio, working alongside senior colleagues at every stage.
• Verify significant financial information and reconcile figures against supporting documentation.
• Test accounting balances and transactions under ISA and document conclusions clearly.
• Review internal controls and flag weaknesses or risk areas to the engagement team.
• Prepare and maintain audit working papers and engagement files in line with methodology and quality standards.
• Draft summary documents, schedules and sections of audit reports.
• Attend inventory counts and other client-site verification procedures.
• Request and follow up on information from client finance teams, keeping communication clear and professional.
• Track deadlines and status on assigned tasks, and escalate issues early.
• Build technical knowledge on IFRS and ISA through on-the-job coaching and structured ACCA study.

Candidate Profile:

• Degree in economics, accounting, finance or a related field - completed or in the final stage of studies.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in audit, accounting or the financial sector required.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and standard accounting entries.
• Analytical thinking and attention to detail - comfortable working with figures and documentation.
• Good command of English, written and spoken; working Romanian and Russian, since most of our Chisinau client base operates day-to-day in both.
• Confident use of Excel.
• Organised, reliable and able to manage several tasks against deadlines.
• Collaborative approach and willingness to take on new technical challenges.
• Genuine interest in building a long-term career in audit.
