We are looking for a highly driven and strategic Product Development Specialist to take full ownership of the product development process from concept to launch. This person will be responsible for leading product innovation, coordinating cross-functional teams, managing suppliers and factories, and ensuring the successful execution of new product launches. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking initiative and ownership in a fast-growing beauty brand environment.

What you’ll do in this role:

• Own the full product development lifecycle from concept ideation to market launch, ensuring alignment with brand strategy, commercial objectives, and consumer demand
• Perform in-depth market analysis to identify trends, innovation opportunities, competitive positioning, and product gaps within the skincare category. Validate opportunities in collaboration with the Sales Analytics team using data-driven insights
• Define product architecture, including key ingredients, claims, benefits, target audience, differentiation strategy, and pricing logic to ensure strong market positioning
• Collaborate with R&D teams, laboratories, and suppliers to develop safe, effective, and competitive formulations
• Partner with the Design team to ensure packaging aligns with product positioning and brand identity
• Coordinate technical specifications, materials selection, sizing, MOQs, cost negotiations, and approval of pre-production samples before mass production
• Negotiate pricing, timelines, and contractual terms with factories and suppliers
• Work closely with the Supply Chain team to ensure seamless coordination between formulation partners, packaging suppliers, factories, and logistics providers during production and shipment phases
• Track customer feedback, product reviews, and post-launch performance metrics. Identify recurring issues and lead product optimization initiatives when necessary
• Coordinate required documentation for product registration and notifications (e.g., EU CPNP, UK SCPN) in collaboration with regulatory partners
• Monitor development budgets, cost structures, and margin targets throughout the product lifecycle to ensure profitability and strategic sustainability

This role is a great fit if you have:

• Experience in Research and Development (R&D) and familiarity with product formulation processes
• Expertise in Product Management, including product lifecycle management and innovation
• Bachelor’s degree in Product Development, Business, Chemistry,  Pharmacology, or a related field
• Proficiency in Excel, Google Suite, Notion or other project management tools
• Proficiency in Market Research and Analytical Skills to identify trends and insights that align with product development goals
• Independence in managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong Communication skills with experience in collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
• Relevant experience in the beauty, skincare, or pharmaceutical industry is a big plus
• Previous experience as a team lead or project lead (considered a strong advantage)
• Advanced level of English
