On behalf of our client, the Embassy of Ireland in Chișinău, we are seeking a reliable, experienced, and discreet Official Driver to support the Ambassador and the Embassy team.

This role is integral to the daily functioning of the Embassy, ensuring safe and efficient transport for diplomatic staff, visitors, and official delegations, as well as providing administrative and logistical support when required.

Key Responsibilities

• The duties of the position will vary depending on Embassy needs and will include;
• Serving as Official Driver for the Ambassador;
• Providing driving services for Embassy staff and visitors as needed;
• Liaising with the Ambassador’s Personal Assistant and Mission staff to coordinate schedules;
• Ensuring the safety and security of passengers at all times;
• Advising on transport arrangements for meetings, visits, and events, including travel outside Chișinău;
• Providing logistical support such as collection and delivery of correspondence and supplies;
• Maintaining official vehicles — scheduling servicing, maintenance, repairs, cleaning, refuelling, insurance, and registration.
• Keeping accurate records of mileage, fuel, and toll expenses;
• Performing administrative duties, including scanning, printing, document management, and payment of bills;
• Undertaking other duties as required by the Embassy, including occasional work outside normal hours.

Essential Requirements

• Extensive professional driving experience, including experience at executive level;
• Certification to drive B6/B7 armoured vehicles;
• Clean and valid driving licence with proven safe driving record;
• Excellent knowledge of Chișinău and regional geography;
• Security management skills and understanding of security operations and procedures;
• Ability to exercise good judgement, discretion, and decision-making;
• Strong administrative and IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office;
• High level of integrity, reliability, and professionalism;
• Excellent punctuality, time management, and attention to detail;
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when required;
• Willingness to undergo medical and background checks.
• A good level of Enlish.
• Permanent legal right to reside and work in Moldova.
