ABOUT THE PROJECT

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Core skills and competencies including Coding, Design, Troubleshooting,, Data Analysis, Problem Solving, Effective Communication, Business Acumen, and Technical Aptitude
• Utilize Perl, Java, HTML, XML, SQL, PYTHON, SCALA and other technologies to develop and manage the software applications that are part of the publishing system
• Contribute to development and infrastructure initiatives to improve speed and reliability
• Apply broad-based software development expertise to create practical, innovative solutions
• Review all existing flows or the application and system procedures and provide services proactively

REQUIREMENTS

Desired Skills:

• BS in computer science or engineering degree or a related field or equivalent work experience required
• 5-7 years of scraping experience in Database technologies and scripting
• Excellent understanding of data base, cloud-based application like Azure and scripting knowledge with Perl, Linux, python, Scala, Java
• Strong technical background and have excellent problem-solving abilities
• Good in at least two programming or scripting language - Java. JavaScript, Perl, Linux, python, Scala
• Understanding of databases and ability to write complex SQL queries
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with SQL and other DBMS (e.g., MsSQL, Azure SQL Database, Sybase, Cassandra,) (Azure SQL Database with Sybase is Plus)

Special Skills:

• Knowledge on relational Database architecture like Sybase, MS SQL, Oracle
• Batch process development using DB languages like PLS/SQL, TSQL/ASE and scripting languages like Python, Perl, Script, Scala and Java
• Knowledge on NOSQL DBs
• Develop Batch Process and Script Development using Unix, Perl, Java, python, Scala and Autosys
• Develop BI Reporting using Tools like Cognos
• Domain knowledge on Financial reporting and wealth management
