DESCRIPTION

Currently we are looking for an Azure Cloud / API Solution Architect to our Polish team.

This individual will be responsible for overseeing the design and implementation of APIs in the hybrid cloud environment across multiple teams in a large enterprise. The API Architect will be responsible for the design of the API reference architecture, API reference architecture implementation and implementation quality of APIs.

This role requires a working knowledge of the technologies employed in Azure environment, as solution architects may require advice on the best implementation approach for a given design. Direct experience with and active participation as an API designer in a RESTful, design-first API development process is required.

Krakow, Wroclaw, Gdansk, Katowice, Warsaw or any location in Poland.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Our client is one of the largest investment banks in the world.

• Work independently with technical and business stakeholders
• Understand business problems and perform due diligence
• Design APIs to address identified business needs and business requirements (both technical and regulatory)
• Conduct API code reviews with multiple teams across the organization
• Define API implementation quality standards and apply quality enforcing tools as necessary
• Provide technical guidance to Solution Architects and dev teams as needed
• Lead a cross-team collaborative effort for building an API management platform within the organization
• Own the API-related reference architecture design
• Implement API-related reference architecture building blocks
• Document reference architecture patterns and present building block implementations to the rest of the organization

REQUIREMENTS

• Demonstrated experience in applying industry API security standards (in particular OAuth) to enterprise solutions
• Working proficiency in Azure security
• Working proficiency in Azure API Management
• Working proficiency in Apigee Edge
• Working proficiency in API standards (OpenAPI 3+, Swagger 2+)
• Demonstrated experience in API design, evidenced by a strong understanding of design-first principles and RESTful API patterns
• Demonstrated hands-on development skills in Java, Spring Boot and Spring Cloud
