Job opening through Digi Talents Moldova Mobility Programme

About the Role:  Asset Management’s Tech Transformation is our strategic program to modernise our tech platform and empower our business users with better tools and data, delivering on our digital vision. We selectively combine SaaS with Cloud native offerings to provide state of the art, security and cost aware technology services.

We offer you the chance to join the dynamic and agile team responsible for Tech Consulting. Working closely with our Product Teams, we provide conceptual and hands-on consulting on Public Cloud services, from solution architecture to implementation of Infrastructure as Code components. You bring new insights and can broaden our experience-base in new technologies and the latest software and infrastructure engineering trends.

In this role as Cloud Engineer, you will:

  • consult product teams in adoption of Cloud native solution architecture for their applications, aligned with our reference architecture and design principles
  • be a trusted partner in the assessment and definition of requirements. Translate into design artifacts
  • implement advanced use cases and build prototypes
  • create and maintain automated test cases to build & maintain regression test suites
  • support team members in their growth, contributing to an environment that cares for continuous learning and improvement
  • establish and manage the solution documentation
  • plan solution deployment and rollout, including risk & impact analysis for implementation
  • ensure agreed agile collaboration principles are applied & improved across your squad
  • define, maintain, and follow best practices
  • work closely with your team, colleagues and stakeholders across the organisation
  • leverage the access to latest technologies and trainings to further develop your engineering skills

Requirements for the employee: Your passion is engineering and Cloud native architectures, and fully recognize the benefits of Infrastructure as a code, DevSecOps and CI/CD practices. You have a fundamental technical understanding in Azure or comparable cloud offerings (AWS, Google Cloud). You thrive when working in a strong engineering culture and have a passion for multi-cultural teamwork and help others in your team to achieve their full potential. You strive to share team expertise and help us increase our Agile maturity.

Essentials:

  • Public Cloud infrastructure experience, preferably Azure
  • Proven experience with infrastructure as code, DevSecOps and CI/CD
  • Software architecture and understanding of tech stacks
  • Knowledge of Public cloud service catalog, preferably Azure
  • proficiency in English (written and spoken)
  • live a continuous improvement mind-set
  • entrepreneurial, team player with a can-do attitude
  • good communication and presentation skills

Nice to haves:

  • have good, applied knowledge of Agile methods, frameworks, and tools
  • python or comparable (R, Ruby …)
  • data engineering /AI
  • networking and cybersecurity

About the Tekwill Project implemented by ATIC

Tekwill has been designed as a national public private partnership between the Government of Moldova, USAID, Microsoft, and IBM to answer the needs of the ICT industry to close the gap of the human capital shortage, as well as support the development of the entrepreneurship ecosystem. The initial goal of the project was to contribute to the extension of the Tekwill project as a sustainable network and deploy its programs on regional/national level. The project aims at determining the operation model of the network, determining business plans for the relevant created centers or partners in the regions, deploy scalable activities to connect an estimated of 150,000 people to ICT (school and university students, community, etc.), deploy entrepreneurship programs aiming at both scaling up existing programs, as well as create inclusive innovation platforms for the regions, with their respective specifics and potential to absorb/apply ICT. We envision a minimum 10,000 beneficiaries/year for each direction (education and entrepreneurship) As a result of the project, 2 main outcomes of the project are expected: more and better qualified skills and workforce developed leading to a stronger ICT industry in Moldova, as well as creating the premises for a Startup Moldova program driving opportunities for companies seeking capitalization.

Now, ATIC is also implementing the Digi Talents Moldova Project

The project contributes to the objectives of the EU Agenda on Migration by establishing a well-managed labour mobility programme for young students or graduates and IT Professionals that is mutually beneficial to both participating countries – Moldova and Slovakia, and it will last until February, 2024.
