Description of the vacant position:

We have been active in the Republic of Moldova since 2012, having our main office right in the center of Chisinau. As we have been growing a lot during the last years, we are looking for an ACCOUNTANT.

Your key responsibilities:

• Makes entries of outgoing and incoming invoices in the local accounting system 1C and global accounting system SAP and makes sure that both entires coincide with each other
• Supports the chief accountant in month-end and year end closing operations in accordance with the statutory reporting requirements and regional/global policies.
• Re-conciliates between the local statutory accounting system and the reporting system;
• Collaborates with the import/export customer service representatives to ensure that all customer invoices are issued in time;
• Collaborates with the import/export customer service representatives and intermodal coordinator to receive all vendor invoices in time;
• Provides support on review the annual statutory financial statements and the half yearly accounting reports;
• Provides support on review the monthly, quarterly and annual tax returns for VAT and corporate tax as applicable

Skills and attributes for success:

• Knowledge and work experience in 1C (version 8.3) and SAP
• Fluent knowledge of Romanian and Russian, intermediate proficiency in English (at least B1 – B2);

To qualify for the role you must have:

• Relevant studies in the field of finance and accounting;
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience as an accountant;
• Work effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility, providing support
• Are inquisitive, confident and flexible – you resist under pressure and hit tight deadlines
• Have a close attention to detail and a global mindset

The working hours are from 9:00am to 6:00pm from Monday to Friday (lunch break 1:00pm to 2:00pm).
