The Scrum Master is responsible for creating the environment for a safe and effective, customer-driven agile team.  Your central responsibility as the Scrum Master is to coach a cross-functional team in the art of continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in assisting product, business, quality, and technical experts at uncovering better ways of working together. This should include implementing and tailoring various agile methods and frameworks,  elevating business objectives over outputs, developing and evolving team working agreements, and cultivating a proactive and pragmatic mindset.

Skills / Attributes

• 5+ years relevant experience as a scrum master in the software engineering space
• Exemplifies and promotes Agile values and principles
• Excels in facilitating teamwork and critical thinking
• Promotes self-organisation and problem solving to deliver sprint objectives
• Approaches problems pragmatically, with a preference for data and incremental solutions
• Builds consensus and rigor towards the appropriate working agreements and cadence
• Elevates the conversation with executives from outputs to outcomes
• Encourages focus and accountability to business outcomes
• Leverages data where possible
• Replaces certainties with falsifiable hypotheses
• Supports bringing people together, including product, engineering, quality, and business
• Advances smooth and fast flow, through visualization and continuous improvement of the end-to-end process
• Leads a team working remotely
• Removes blockers to improve the performance of the team
• Excellent leadership, coaching, and communication skills

Nice to have

• Experience in both the startup and enterprise space
• Coaches Lean Software Development, XP, Design Thinking practices
• Experience supporting teams with members in multiple geographical locations
• Experience with Atlassian/Jira/Confluence or similar agile tools
